Welcome to Circles in the Sun!
Since 1987 Circles In The Sun has been providing in home child care services throughout the Greater Toronto Area. Since our start over 30 years ago, we have met many wonderful parents and cared for their children; providing homework help, preparing nutritious meals, and of course high quality learning experiences.

A little about us
Our Home Providers are independently contracted by Circles In The Sun. We select candidates who are culturally and linguistically diverse and ensure they are first aid and CPR certified; and trained in the How Does Learning Happen Framework (HDLH).
We also require all Providers to attend ongoing training workshops on a variety of pertinent topics including menu planning, the importance of exercise, first words, developing age-appropriate activities, etc. Providers and all individuals living in and/or regularly visiting their home are screened through the Police Reference Check for services with the Vulnerable Sector.
Our Philosophy
We believe a child’s positive learning experience is achieved in a variety of ways; independently and with guidance of the caregiver. Children flourish in an environment that is nurturing and welcoming, where they can feel safe and important; feeling confident that there is an endless supply of support and love surrounding them.
When our caregivers aims to provide quality care, they must look at each child and recognize their individual needs; as well as acknowledging the need to provide support and feedback for the entire family unit.

Benefits of Licensed Home Child Care
- Up to a maximum of six non-familial children in each home.
- Flexible hours include evenings, overnight and weekends.
- Unannounced regular visits by Home Visitors to ensure that locations comply with government regulations/legislation and meet Circles In The Sun’s high standards.
- Health and safety checks are completed regularly.
- Nutritious meals and snacks are provided by the Home Child Care Provider Based off the recommendations by the Canadian Food guide.
- Home Visitors assess the Providers and monitor and support the child care arrangements.
- Independent point of contact for families.
- Alternate care can be arranged if your Provider is ill or on vacation.
- Providers are insured.
- The Ministry of Education makes unannounced visits to a number of Providers’ homes during Circles In The Sun licensing process.
- Our Advisors make every effort to accommodate the needs of each family.
